19 benefits of running daily

 One of the most important parts of running is stretching. Most running experts agree that stretching before you run is up to personal preference, but they do suggest that you should definitely stretch afterwards. After some pretty serious knee pain (and serious stress on the home front), I decided to try yoga. It was mostly for helping me to clear my mind and to get a low-impact workout, but little did I know I was in for much more than meditation and a few "Om's".



As I explored yoga and yoga studios I realized it is an excellent workout for runners who need an extra stretch, help building their core and regulating their breathing. It also helps to prevent injury. I had an excellent yoga experience at Prana Yoga Center in Denville, New Jersey. I began with a beginners class and eventually graduated to mixed level. Before each session, the yoga instructor would ask each student if they had any aches and pains and instructed us that we should push our bodies, but know our limits and make adjustments to the yoga poses along the way. After my first yoga class, I felt like I had just completed a total circuit workout. Holding each pose (correctly) while breathing (correctly) is more intense than it sounds. You use muscles you never knew you had and increase your balance, which is great for running!


Some of my favorite (and most beneficial yoga poses) are:


Reverse Warrior

Benefits: Strengthens legs and improves flexibility of spine


What to do:


1.) From Warrior II bring your rear hand down the back of your rear leg.


2.) Bring the front arm up next to your ear


3.) 3. Keeping the front knee bent and directly over the ankle, reach the rear hand down as you come in to a backbend.


4. Bring your gaze up to the front fingertips.


High Lunge

Benefits: Opens the hips while stretching the groin, thighs and calves

What to do:


1.) Gradually slide your left foot far back and simultaneously flex your right knee. Your right knee (front knee) should be leveled directly above your ankle bone and not beyond that point.


2.) Position your palms or fingers on the floor in between your right flexed leg (front leg). Slowly press your palms or finger against the floor to help enhance the placement of your upper body and your head.


3.) Lift your head so that you will be looking straight ahead. As you do that, you are also leaning your upper body forward and carefully rolling your shoulders down and gliding it backward to adjust the position of your torso and your back.


4.) Press the ball of your left foot (back foot) gradually on the floor and allow your thigh muscles to contract and press up to maintain your left leg in a straight position. Upon pressing, you will feel a stretch on your left hamstrings (muscles at the back of your thigh) up to your hips and sacrum.


5.) Lengthen your spine by maintaining proper position of your shoulders and your whole upper body.


6.) Carefully extend your arms overhead so that your body will be positioned in an inclined manner from the ball of your back foot to the fingers of your raised arms.


Triangle Pose (Trikonasana)

Benefits: Strengthen the legs, stretches the groins, hamstrings, hips, opens the chest and shoulders

What to do:

1.) From Warrior II, straighten your left leg

2.) Begin the reach the left arm forward, drawing the left thigh upwards and tucking the hip at you come forward.

3.) Drop the left hand down onto your shin or ankle, or if you are more open, onto the floor inside or outside the left foot.

4.) The right shoulder stacks on top of the left one as you open the chest reaching the right fingertips upwards while keeping the right shoulder rooted in the socket.

5.) Take your gaze up toward the right fingertips.

6.) Draw the left thigh muscle upwards, deepening the left hip crease.

7.) Stack the right hip on top of the left.

When requesting information from that office, it is mandatory to provide information to all the employees of their office and if any information is not provided to any employee / officer, then it should be the responsibility of the head of that office. 11. As per the instruction of the letter dated 17/6/2008 of Election Commission, New Delhi, the employee to be appointed on duty should be a voter and that voter should have photo identity card.




For this, the details of the name entry in the voter's roll have been sought in the information which is sought from the organization in the prescribed form. This information can be found on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer ceo.gujarat.gov.in if the employee does not have it. Such information should be given to the organization in the letter seeking information. However, if the organization does not provide this information, the Returning Officer may obtain this information from the above website. If the name of an employee is not registered in the voter list then the concerned concerned officer / employee has to get the application in Form-3. / Take action to improve. Also, if an officer / employee does not have a voter ID card, he / she should be given a voter photo ID card as per the rules. However, even if an officer / employee does not show interest in enrolling in the voter list or getting a voter identity card, they can be appointed in the polling station.

Please note that non-registration of voter list or non-receipt of voter ID card is not an excuse to avoid election duty. This matter should be brought to the notice of the organization. 13. Giving mobile phones to children has become dangerous in the age of internet technology.

One more death has been reported due to rupture of mobile battery.
Five-year-old Masoom was injured when a mobile phone battery exploded in Pakud, Jharkhand.

The baby was rushed to a hospital after the battery blast.

Where he died during treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Sonu Marandi.



How the event happened

According to reports, the incident took place when the child's father removed the battery from the mobile and put it in the master charger to charge it. When the child's father went out, Sonu tried to remove the battery from the charger, which caused the battery to explode.

Because of this he was badly injured.

The victim was rushed to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

One of the biggest road blocks that people tell me they have is time. We are all living in a super busy, wound up, go all day kind of world. Getting in eating healthy and workouts and stress reduction can actually be a challenge when you're trying to juggle work, family, relationships and more. (Believe me - I am right there with you!)


I was talking with one of our fitness retreat guests the other day and she wanted simple, broken down ideas of what she could do immediately when she returned home. Change seemed overwhelming for her and I know it is for many other people too. So I decided to create this easy list of 70 simple daily habits to give you ideas of what you can do right now to make small changes in your daily routine.


My goal was to have you pick one from any of the three categories below to focus on for that day. You can continue to practice the same habit or you can choose a different one each day. You can extend to a week if you'd prefer. Either way, the list was created to show you that there are many different little tweaks you can make to make a difference in your health and wellness. Focus on what you need most and what feels good for you!


70 HEALTHY HABITS TO PRACTICE


NUTRITION & EATING


Add in a new color food (yellow, red, green, purple, white, orange, blue)

Try a new food

Eat at least 1 serving of fruits and vegetables daily

Use portion control

Eat all unprocessed foods
