गुजरात के मोरबी में हुए ब्रिज हादसे में 132 से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत हो गई है। इसमें 51 महिलाओं और 53 नाबालिगों सहित 132 से ज्यादा जानें चली गईं। रूस के राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन (Russian President Vladimir Putin) और नेपाल के प्रधानमंत्री शेर बहादुर देउबा (Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba) सहित दुनिया भर के राजनीतिक हस्तियों ने शोक व्यक्त किया है। हादसे पर पुतिन ने राष्ट्रपति द्रोपदी मुर्मू (President Droupadi Murmu) और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) को एक शोक संदेश भेजकर अपनी संवेदना और सहानुभूति जताई है।

नेपाल के प्रधानमंत्री शेर बहादुर देउबा ने भी पुल के ढहने में जानमाल के नुकसान पर दुख व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने ट्विटर पर लिखा कि "गुजरात के मोरबी में पुल गिरने की दुखद घटना से मुझे गहरा दुख हुआ है। हम बहुमूल्य जीवन के नुकसान पर सरकार और भारत के लोगों के प्रति हार्दिक संवेदना व्यक्त करते हैं। हमारी संवेदनाएं और प्रार्थनाएं शोक संतप्त परिवारों के साथ हैं।"
श्रीलंका के राष्ट्रपति रानिल विक्रमसिंघे ने हादसे पर दुख व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि श्रीलंका सरकार और लोग भारत के लोगों के साथ हैं। खास तौर पर हादसे में अपनी जान गंवाने वाले लोगों के परिजनों के प्रति गहरी संवेदना व्यक्त करने में मेरे साथ शामिल हैं। घायलों के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने की कामना करता हूं।”
पीएमओ ने ट्विटर पर बताया कि “पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेंद्र पटेल से दुर्घटना के बारे में बात की। उन्होंने बचाव कार्यों के लिए टीमों को तत्काल जुटाने की मांग की है। उन्होंने कहा है कि स्थिति पर कड़ी निगरानी रखी जाए और प्रभावित लोगों को हर संभव मदद दी जाए।”
