Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board has issued recruitment for 3437 posts of Gram Panchayat Secretary i.e. Talati cum Minister.

Since the announcement, candidates have started preparing for the exam.

Divya Bhaskar had a special talk with career expert Praful Gadhvi about exam preparation.






Merit is expected to hang on more than 50 marks this time

Career expert Praful Gadhvi has given information in simple language on how to prepare for passing the Talati cum Mantri exam.


Merit at 45 marks in the open category in the last examination.

Praful Gadhvi said that based on his years of experience, the candidate who brings more than 50 marks in this examination is likely to get a job.

That means Merit will hang with more than 50 marks.

Questions of 20 marks on Gujarati literature and grammar will be asked.



He has advised the candidates that if they want to get good marks out of 20 marks, they have to prepare Gujarati grammar and literature every day.




Read Std. 8,9.10 books for English grammar preparation

English grammar questions of 20 marks will also be asked in the exam.

Praful Gadhvi has concluded on the basis of the results of previous examinations that the candidates who have studied in Gujarati medium can get only 4 marks in English grammar.

He has given tips for bringing 10 marks out of 20 in English grammar.

If you want to get 10 marks in Mathematics, read Std. 6 to 10 Mathematics







There are 50 marks of General Knowledge in 100 Marks paper.

Which will cover 11 topics.

Candidates have to bring 10 marks in Mathematics subject if they want to pass the examination with more than 50 marks.

It is advisable to prepare Mathematics of Std. 6 to 10 to bring the required marks.

It is to be mentioned that in the examinations taken in the past, the students of Arts could get only 4 marks out of 10 in Mathematics.

Therefore, according to the tips given by Praful Gadhvi, preparation can be done in a planned manner.

As a career expert, he predicts that this time the merit will stop with more than 50 marks.
